The cats are Spottedtail and Bluemist

Spottedtail (c) me - Golden she-cat with black areas. (deceased)

Bluemist ran into the grassy meadow. The night was dark, too dark for her liking. Spottedtail, her best friend, had just died. Bluemist blinked away tears and continued to run. Something halted her. "Spottedtail!" Bluemist cryed out in surprise. Spottedtail's spirt stood right in front of her. Bluemist fell to the ground and burst into tears. "Why'd you leave Spottedtail!" she cryed. "You were so young, you had so many friends, and a family!" Spottedtail shook her head. "I had to." she mewed. Something trickled down her face. Was she sad too? Bluemist looked up at spottedtail and stood up. Spottedtail stood on hind legs too and placed her paws on Bluemist's. "Good-Bye, my friend." she mewed and started to fade. Bluemist's eyes widened. "Don't go Spottedtail!" she mewed but it had been to late. She fell to the ground in another fit of tears.
